Brief description:
The Marivan-Bashmaq route in the study area is about 17 kilometers long and starts from the end of the Marivan urban route towards the Bashmaq border. After passing the eastern and northern shores of Lake Zaribar and passing through the mainly agricultural area of that area, it ends at the end of the study area at the Bashmaq border terminal.
The Marivan-Bashmaq route is a transit axis and a passageway for mainly heavy vehicles that pass through the city of Marivan to Iraq and vice versa. Studies of this axis were conducted by Jame Kar Sepahan Consulting Engineers, during which the two-lane route was converted into four lanes, which increased the safety, geometric and traffic characteristics of the route.
