The construction site of the Saqavah Reservoir Dam is located in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer Ahmad Province, about 70 kilometers northwest of Yasuj County.
The purpose of the construction of the Saqavah Reservoir Dam is to store and transfer water and control surface flows in order to provide industrial and agricultural water to the Saqavah region, as well as to control floods.
