Brief description:
The Gavkhoft earthen dam is being built on the Gavkhoft valley and stream to provide water for the agricultural needs of the downstream farmlands. This dam plays an important role in the restoration and development of the downstream lands by providing water to the nomads of the region. It also attracts tourists and tourist attractions. Access to the project site is possible using the Fereydounshahr-Qale Sorkh asphalt road, then the Qale Sorkh-Tahligi dirt road (about 5 km) and a 3 km long dirt road. The implementation of this dam will begin in 2015 and end in 2020.
